Patrick wrote on Sep 8, 2015 at 02:05 (UTC+02:00):

WENDY ,

You saved my life ( or at least a hart attack ).

The last three days i had problems with my chain , but it was weekend and the shops i passed the last 700 km had a closed sign on the door.

So i had a farmer who helped me with his tools and i asked tools in gas stations to fix the problems.

I also had emergency plans in my head.

Saying myself the whole day :

No problem Patrick , you can buy a new bike , you can rent a bike , you can borrow a bike or you can even steal a bike.

But when i passed your house and when i tried to fix it with your hammer again for the tenth time , you said

" There is a bike shop around the corner "

The simplest solution was not on my mind.

THANK YOU

I was just about to get into my car this afternoon when (I now know was Patrick ) asked for a hammer or 2 to fix his bike chain, I was able to lend him a hammer and a spanner and was able to guide him to the nearest cycle shop in Turramurra just before closing, I hope they were able to help him.
Am delighted to have briefly met Patrick and wish him well for the remainder of his trip. What an amazing journey.I look forward to reading all about it later.

I really regret you choose to go separate ways, so close to the finish.
It makes me sad to see that this great story end this way...but I still hope you guys get back aligned to meet te finish in Sydney together!!

Evi was wondering if you could find enough charging stations with correct 230 Voltage for your e-bikes.

Nice website. At first I didn't understand that it looked well and working and all. But then I read that you didn't make it.
I suggest you to stop that crazy race for a moment to really enjoy the environment for a while (maybe that leaves some time to work on our pleeing bonneke-the lines are still too thick).
Those trips - aren't they just an everlasting quest to find out if the Beach Boys were right?
(When I become 50 I think I'll buy me a Harley - or a new wife)
Greetings and all the best - may the winds from behind be with you.

Hi Gregory!

Wasnt quite sure what was up with Patrick this morning, he was more up beat than usual! This was because of the new gradient chart you introduced, which is amazing! Just like everything else you've touched on :) keep up the great work and look forward to meeting you in person when this madness is over

Speak soon, Kevin

Gregory ,

it is a pleasure for me to test this Guestbook.

It is unbelievable what you have managed in 3 weeks time concerning this website.

From a rough idea from a biker and a small piece of electronic ( Kylos tracker from Starcom ) you created a website where even my mother and father in law are capable of following our adventures.

Thank you

Patrick Abrams ( The fool trying to cycle to sydney )

PS The other fool will test the guestbook when he is awake :)
